Vitalware's operational modes

Vitalware can be configured to operate in the following operational modes:

Mode	Description
Immediate	Available to the Counter and Mail Room Tills. Certificates are printed immediately after an event is linked to a POS record.
At Save	Available to the Counter and Mail Room Tills. Certificates are printed after the POS record is saved.
Batch	Available to the Mail Room Till only. Linking of products to events is deferred until a batch of transactions is completed. This speeds up data entry as it is not necessary to wait until a link is established before completing a transaction. For example, in this mode you would enter event details into the appropriate fields but would not process the attachment before continuing to complete the transaction. When all transactions in the batch are completed, the links between products and events are processed and certificates printed. You would scroll through transactions to confirm that the correct event has been attached. Batch processing is performed after you sign off the Till.
